Andei brincando um pouco no photoshop, sem aquela obrigação do trabalho, pra variar.
Eis algumas tentativas de flyers pra Five, festa rockabilly que acontece no Beco 203 de Porto Alegre. Um deles dentro daquela linha de adaptar cartazes de filmes B.

MEUS RABISCOS - Frankenbilly, primeira tentativa no tablet

Bom, eu já desenhei em outras épocas, mas meio que parei. Resolvi voltar, e então comprei uma tablet pra ver qual é. Bom, enquanto não consigo de jeito nenhum instalar meu scanner Gotec, tive que apelar para um esboço antigo que já tinha escaneado há tempo. Eis o resultado. Por enquanto, apenas um RABISCO. Se está LEGAL, espero que os leitores me digam.

Conheci esse cara, Von Kreep, pelo Facebook. São os interesses bizarros e nerds deste que vos fala que acabam atraindo basicamente gente que gosta de filmes B, monstros clássicos, cartoons antigos, etc, etc (não preciso enumerar mais, o blog fala por si). E claro, ilustrações acabam sendo um destes temas, e através dele cheguei ao blog do Swamp Ape Studios, com vários estilos de diferentes artistas que trabalham em conjunto com o estúdio.
Em uma conversa rápida pelo Facebook com Von Kreep ele me falou de um projeto que estão tentando encampar, uma animação chamada Monstroville. O enredo tem uma idéia na linha terror/comédia, e parece bem divertido, com o traço dos personagens bem cartunesco.

I met this guy, Von Kreep, in Facebook, thanks to some interests in common, like monsters, cartoons, B movies, all good things that the good nerd pop culture has to offer us. His work, and other artist's can be seen at Swamp Ape Studios blog. They are trying to put up a new show called MOnstroville, with a plot in the comedy/horror genre, in the lines of classics like Munsters and Addam's Familly, but with funny characters in a very cartoonish style.

Um pouco do enredo/something about the plot:

Don't let your kids follow the trail of candy through the haunted woods. Past the old Jack Hill Graveyard they'll find MONSTROVILLE, where all Halloween Candy is made!

Edward Von Ghastly lives in this haunted seaside with his mechanized sidekick, Gear. Together they navigate his home town filled with monster, zombies, witches, ghosts, ghouls, werewolves, and all the things that go bump in the night: Gruesome greasers, headless specters, monsters from outer space, pirates, and mad scientists.

Speaking of mad scientists, Edward's father is the mad scientist Baron von Ghastly. He and his family reside in Von Ghastly Manor atop the second tallest hill overlooking Monstroville and the root beer sea. They make a creepy brand of candy for Monstroville's beloved holiday, Halloween. No one, not even the Baron, knows how long Von Ghastly's have been making Ghastly Gruesome Goodies in their factory on Spook Hill, but its a long time. And the candy is the cat's meow! They're the bee's knees (Which is also one of their secret ingredients!). They're really very good.

But some of the Baron's experimental confections have been known to come to life and wreak havoc upon the town below! Its up to Edward and Gear to save the day!

Mais um produtor cultural independente que procura um espaço pra mostrar seu trabalho. Que tal os estúdios que tem grana darem uma força e comprarem o projeto?

How about if some big studio buy the project? Good cartoons are always welcome.

Stuart Immonen fez essas páginas pra uma edição Secret Files de 1998, contando as origens dos inimigos do Superman no estilo das história de Little Nemo in Slumberland.

Stuart Immonen did these pages for a 1998 "Secret Files" comic, telling the origin of Superman's foes, fashiones after Winsor McCay's Little Nemo in Slumberland. In the story, Luthor tells fairy tales to his infant daughter Lena.
